Welcome to the KPSA Summer Fete Page

We hope this page will be of use for everyone and help you get ready for the Summer Fete on Saturday 25th June 2016. It is new this year to have a web page and  we hope it will provide you with information about the day including site plans so you can check out the stalls and activities in advance. We will be also running two competitions during the lead up to the Summer Fete for the boys. Click here or return to the menu to access the competitions page.

This Year’s theme …..

Sport is an important part of life at Keble, with many of the boys being particularly passionate about football whether playing or supporting their favourite teams. Two North London clubs in particular! Whether red or blue, Euro 2016 was an obvious choice for a theme to engage and inspire the boys.

The Summer Fete is a highlight of the Keble calendar and one of the KPSA’s biggest fundraising events. Although raising funds is an objective its real aim is to create a fun, family filled day that the local community can enjoy too.

Football Design Winner

football design winnerCongratulations go to Sulaiman Ahmed in Y2I for his fantastic winning Euro football design.
Clearly Sulaiman put a lot of thought and effort into his design and each individual panel in the ball had a great deal of detail. Also with the placement of France, as the tournament’s host, in the centre, the overall layout clearly had some consideration too.Well done Sulaiman your Euro 2016 football is on its way to you in time for the tournament!

A Message from Mr McCarthy

IMG_2541As I write this on a drizzly morning in early May, the European Championships seem a dim and distant event for the future. Yet when you read this welcome message the first matches will be about to kick off. After a strong qualifying programme and some positive recent performances, hopes are on the up for the England team. I wonder how things will be on the day of the Fete? Hopes higher still or about to be dashed yet again?
In recognition of the championship, our Fete has a distinctly football theme and I hope you can join in with the excitement. I know that the committee, so well led by Donna Ozkor, has worked incredibly hard to provide something different this year but still keeping to the major aim, which is an opportunity for all of the Keble community to get together, have fun and support the school.
Thanks should also go to Lisa Tse who has helped with the brochure and banners and to Seeds Property for their generous sponsorship. I am sure all of these individuals, like me, hope you have a smashing afternoon and enjoy what will be a great Keble Prep occasion.

Brochure

This year our brochure includes information about the fete and a series of articles that we hope you will find interesting. We also wanted to showcase all the wonderful Euro football designs created by the boys, as it always seems such a shame that only one child’s design is featured. We owe a huge thanks to Lisa Tse, who’s creative consulting company, Lisa TSE Limited, have provided tremendous support to create our brochure.

Where does the money we raise go?

This year the KPSA are raising money to contribute to the purchase of a new mini bus, which will be of benefit to all the boys
These fund raising events would not be possible without the support and generosity of parents, teachers, local businesses and of course our boys.

Come on you Keblians!

Back by popular demand and an obvious choice based on our Euro 2016 theme, a five-a-side Football Tournament will be run by our in school Football Managers Mr McCarthy and Mr Gill.

All teams will be organised and forms completed under supervision in school on Thursday 9th June. All boys who would like to enter should bring their £3 entry fee per child, on this day.

Music!

Taking us into the summer vibe will be “Pan Vibration” Steel band who will be playing and running workshops. If this gets you in the mood for some dancing but you need a little Dutch courage; our Pimms and Prosecco stall will be happy to help.

Dance!

The London Dance Factory will be performing. And Zumba with Sonia will be putting you through your paces with a session for beginners and the more advanced!

Helpers

As always we could not run the fete without you and this year not only will the KPSA need help running stalls but also the boys will need your help too. As well as running a stall we also would like them to enjoy the football tournament and the other activities so we would ask that parents can help to cover their stall with the boys taking a one hour slot each and parents covering the other 3 hours.
